I had the pleasure a few weeks ago of going to finders keepers independent designers market and i also picked up a few lovely delights on my shopping adventure. Including a necklace from the talented Emily Green.

She says on her Etsy page

"My designs explore chaotic geometric shapes that use energetic colours and contrasting textures to create harmonious compositions. Through observations of organic textures and forms and congruous colour palettes, my designs reference my world and the aesthetic of Melbourne’s inner north.

Design has always been a joy in my life. Currently I am focusing on creating brooches and pendants, illustration and textile design. Currently, I am studying Textile Design at RMIT. In 2010 I launched my debut range of brooches. In my work I am trying to synthesize my love of vintage textiles, illustration, second hand markets and unusual colour palettes to offer designs that reflect my idea of beauty."

and true to her word they do, they are beautiful colourful explosions!

Here is the necklace i decided to treat myself with

perth im coming to you

i am extremly excited to announce myself and my two amigos shall be making the 4,000km journey over to the other side of the country. travelling by car for two weeks discovering the Austrialia that is unknown to many of us. I have always been fascinated with traveling and to travel around my own country shall be delightful. it was always strange when overseas when speaking to foreigners you realized they had seen more of our beautiful homeland then us, so i made it my mission for my next destination to be one that was not flown to.

so we are going on a road trip, a massive one infact. we shall venture through new south wales, Victoria, south Australia and end up in Western Australia were we will be greeted by many other happy goers for SOUTHBOUND festival.

Southbound festival is a began in 2005 and 7 years later, it’s still WA’s only music, camping and arts festival. 2012 marks Southbound’s 8th year and boy i am excited to experience the magic, an amazing array of talent and good times to be had.
It shall be the best start to a new year ever

the amazing photographer that is Lissy Elle

Lissy says...
"I am someone who likes to pretend that I don’t care what other people think of me. I like to pretend that I make my art for ME, and no one else. But there comes a point in every artist’s life that they crave recognition. Admit it. Be not ashamed. This is only human." ... and isnt it oh so true

Lissy Elle is an amazing photographer who has gotten so far only through the support of the online community. Her images are magical and mystical master pieces to be loved by any one who looks at them. I am extremly enchanted by her photos so here are a few
